A LONG haul from Jenjarom to Port Klang

An ex-works supply factory in Jenjarom needed to deliver four 28-meter-long girders to Port Klang. These girders were to be sent over to the Mainsloc Power Plant in the Philippines for their expansion project.

The extreme length of the girders proved to be a challenge as it meant that the maneuverability of the transport will be extremely limited. That, however, did not stop our project team from figuring out a solution! We took up the challenge and conducted a route survey to make sure that the road accessibility and turning points could cater for such a long structure to arrive at Port Klang.

After much study and planning, it was time to get into action. We supervised the loading from the factory and escorted the girders to Port Klang. It took two back-to-back trips for all four girders to arrive Port Klang safely and made ready for them to be shipped to the Philippines.
