Our History

The Journey

It all began when Mr. Patrick Lee, a veteran in the freight forwarding industry, decided to embark on a journey by establishing CNC Freight Services. Although having spent more than 25 years in the industry prior to setting up his own company, it took sheer determination to rise from humble beginnings to an internationally recognised freight forwarder become a reality today.

The following are CNC Freight Services’ chronology of milestones:

1999

CNC Freight Services is established in Port Klang with just four personnel

Joins Worldwide Project Consortium Network as one of its founding Members


2000

Joins WCA Family of Logistics Network as its 300th Member


2001

CNC Penang opens


2005

Secured an air charter contract for one of the largest cargo aircraft in the world -­‐ the Antov 124 . Two units were chartered for a project in Sudan.


2006

Joins Global Project Logistics Network as one of its founding member.


2009

Joins The Heavy Lift Group


2011

Receives ISO 9001 : 2008 certification


2012

Johor Bahru branch opens. This would mean all key ports in Peninsular Malaysia is now covered by CNC Freight Services. Today, it has 30 members of staff.

Handles the heaviest piece of cargo weighing 288 metric tonnes from Kuantan, Malaysia to Columbus, Mississippi, USA.
